DONE the ork followbots movement gets extrapolated weirdly for some reason.

DONE the server crashes after joining any BT class directly after votemapping to rs_ac_fortress from rs_ca_platform with the following error message:
Host_Error: no precache: models/player_weapon/p_bt_combatknife.mdl
it works though, if choosing IW instead.
rs_ca_platform had BT and NC but NOT IW. I assume the precaching thinks that the BT models are still precached from platform but then realizes, they aren't.

DONE the ork squig has the run anim as idle and idle as run.

DONE the squig picture in the menu is bugged.

DONE the ork warriors miss an attack animation (sequence 5).

so... we're having 4 bug and 1 model reports from 8 months of alpha testing ;-). Hmmm well by this rate the usual amount of a hundret bugs will only be fixed within ... 20 years? BUT I'm up and running to the point that I have a connection

and yes, we do have a dedicated server. I can even start a linux dedicated at any time, since I also have the resources for that ( a virtual server instance at hand ). there is no real point in it though, since the curent version has too many bugs to maintain a player base.

yes, I recognize, I think those stupid bots assume that this forum is dead and can be used for unloading linkfarms. its not THAT dead though *g*.

theoretically it is possible, but nobody has tried it within years. you might have troubles with certain certain sprite or model amounts hitting the roof. hl1 in its original instance had hardcoded max numbers there. and we have a LOT of models... .

its not exactly dead, but its only me keeping it undead. feel free to take a look at the page once in a month, you might see an update some time :-).

I think that was just the spam that had been posted during my absence. now everything should be back to its normal silence ;-).

well, that's one problem with our CC, apart from the damage rate / attack rate and the different view model, there isn't any perceivable difference. different weapons have different ranges and different damage modifiers, but nothing of that is really perceivable.

thanx for the bug report :). I'm still not back up and running, but I will be some fine day this year :).

well, there is currently no real support for bots. it is theoretically possible to configure one of the old bot engines but that requires work and knowledge that only another experiences modder would have.

well, I guess there is another bug there...

74
the alpha is so buggy because it hasn't been tested like the beta. it was developed later and with less support from the fanbase. the differences are a lot of bug fixes, but also huge refactorings to make it fit to the hl2 version. but codebases use the same gamelogic library now and the way to that point was costly in terms of bugfreeness.

75
thanx for the bug report! I'll look into this once I start developing for it again. Right now I#m quite occupied earning money and conquering the world ;-).
