Black Templars
The Black Templars are one of around a thousand Space Marine Chapters. Most
Chapters are made up of only around a thousand Marines, but even a Company of
around 100 men is usually more than enough to take control of a world since
each Space Marine is a genetically modified superhuman warrior with the best
armour and weaponry the Imperium has to offer. Black Templar Companies are
known as Crusades, and travel the Galaxy in their Battle Barges seeking out
humanity's deadliest foes. They are one of the most fanatical and devoted of
Companies.

Classes
Leader
Space Marines leaders are hardened veterans who have fought for hundreds of
years. A Captain is the ultimate commander of a company of up to a hundred men
who he leads by example, with skill and bravery as well as the Chapter's finest
weaponry.
Abilities
Leaders can to select a class to be awarded veteran status in the
next round using the command key (default V).
Tips
Only one member of each team can be a Leader! Leaders are very tough and
powerful warriors, but have very few (usually only one) spawn. The Space
Marines' most powerful close combat weaponry is available to Leaders, including
power weapons and plasma pistols. Leaders are usually best used for close
combat support.

Marines
Space Marines are the Imperium's finest warriors. Their tiny Chapters of about a
thousand men are scattered widely across the galaxy, yet this is number enough
for the defence of humanity. Genetically enhanced, defended by power armour and
well equipped, few can oppose them.
Abilities
Space Marines can create a follow bot by using their special move.
Tips
Sergeants have access to close combat weaponry that normal Marines cannot
employ. Use it well! Warning: bikes cost a lot of points! If you have a bike
you will have fewer spawns.

Terminators
Only the hundred warriors of a Chapter's First Company have access to Tactical
Dreadnought or Terminator armour. Already veterans of countless wars,
Terminators are near to invulnerable and have incredibly powerful weapons built
into their armoured suits.
Tips
Terminators are very tough and powerful warriors, but have very few (usually
only one or two) spawns. Terminator power fists are slow but very powerful.
Warning:
Terminator armour means that Marines wearing it cannot jump, duck, or climb, and
their movement is slowed.

Assault Marines
A portion of Space Marines from every Chapter are equipped with jump packs.
These allow the Marines to carry out shock assaults and capture objectives as
they fly over intervening difficult terrain to rain death down upon their
opponents from the skies.
Abilities
Assault Marines are equipped with jump packs. To use your jump pack to fly,
press the Special Move key [Q]
Tips
Assault Marines have access to close combat weapons, and are best used in close
combat. Assault Marines' flight ability means they are good for capturing
objectives, but have relatively few spawns.

Dreadnought
Within each Dreadnought lies the body of a great Space Marine hero, their life
artifially extended by the war machine within which they are incarnated.
Dreadnoughts are like walking tanks, armed with powerful heavy weapons.
Only the leader of the driver class gets to become a dreadnaught driver.
Tips
Dreadnoughts are incredibly powerful war machines, but generally will only have
one spawn. Space Marine Dreadnoughts are equipped with two ranged weapons.
Warning: Dreadnoughts are relatively slow compared to other classes in Rival
Species, and often have limited mobility within maps.

Combat Bike
In the 41st Millenium, technology is viewed with superstition and technological
development with suspicion, and therefore ancient machines such as bikes remain
in use. Space Marine bikes are large and powerful machines used in battlefields
across the Galaxy.
Tips
Bike must be driven using the directional keys. Space Marine bikes are armed
with twin Bolters that may be aimed up and down by the mouse.
Warning: it is very hard to fight from a bike! They are best used to strafe the
enemy, or to reach them for close combat before dismounting.
Warning: Players may only re-mount their own bike, and no one else's.

Devastators
Space Marine Devastator squads can be found toting some of the most ancient and
powerful weapons from their Chapter's armoury.
Abilities
Devastators may be equipped with heavy weapons. These must be deployed to be
used.
Tips
Warning: When heavy weapons are deployed, Devastators' movement is slowed and
they cannot jump, duck or climb.
Warning: generally heavy weapons are incredibly inaccurate if used on the move!

Armoury
Bolter / Boltgun
The Bolter is most commonly used by Space Marines as their standard armament
since the Great Crusade. It fires an explosive tipped projectile called a bolt
and is one of the deadliest weapons in mankind's arsenal.
Secondary fire switches between Full Auto and Burst Fire modes.
|
|
|
Combat Knife
The Combat Knife is the standard wargear for all Space Marines, made of Ceramics
with a monomolecular edge.
Close Combat Weapon. Usually used in combination with a pistol.
|
|
|
Bolt Pistol
The Bolt Pistol is the little brother of the Bolter. It has a decreased range,
accuracy and rate of fire but the same penetration power.
|
|
|
Flamer
The Flamer is a short ranged weapon which throws a stream of devastating fire at
the opponent. If the victim is hit there is a chance that it catches fire and
gets damage furthermore. Flamers are very effective at flushing out enemy
troops.
|
|
|
Chain Sword
The Chainsword is the common assault weapon of the Space Marine chapters, it
looks like a sword with a chain instead of the cutting edge. The has blades
that are of a monomolecular size. These allow to cut through armour and flesh
easily.
Close Combat Weapom. Usually used in combination with a pistol.
|
|
|
Frag Grenades
The Fragmenation Grenade is the standard grenade of the battlefields of the
41st Millenium. When it explodes it catapults razor-sharp shrapnel that cuts
through armour and flesh in an explosion that can critically distract the enemy
or shield an advance.
|
|
|
Plasma Pistol
The plasma pistol fires balls of superheated gas known as plasma. The
explosion of a plasma impact is one of the most potent weapons of the 40K
battlefield. Plasma weapons have a repuation for unreliablility, so only
the most experinced warriors are equipped with plasma weapons.
Due to the massive power requirement of this weapon cannot hold it's own power
source so it must drain energy from it's operators energy supply. This
weapon can only fire when fully chnaged (see the energy gauge in the bottom
right of the HUD).
Usually used in combination with a close combat weapon.
|
|
|
Power Sword
The blade of the power sword is surrounded by a hazy energy field which disrupts
and solid matter it touches. As a blow is struck the whole length of the sword
shivers with a crackling discharge of energy which then envelopes the target
and tears it apart. Amongst Imperial forces the power sword is regarded very
much as an officer's weapon, although it is also carried by some close assault
troops.
Close Combat Weapom. Usually used in combination with a pistol.
|
|
|
Power Axe
The power axe resembles a large axe or halberd. Its blade is surrounded by a
hazy power field which crackles with discharges of energy. When the weapon
strikes, this energy is discharged over the victim, rending the target apart
with lightning-like power. The power axe is carried by some close assault
troops, but is commonly associated with Tech-Marines and members of the Adeptus
Mechanicus.
Close Combat Weapom. Usually used in combination with a pistol.
|
|
|
Power Fist
The power fist or power glove is a heavy armoured gauntlet surrounded by an
energy field which disrupts the surface of solid matter, allowing the fist to
punch through solid walls and armour, and grip and tear solid objects. It is an
awesome weapon and amongst the most potent a warrior can carry. Power fists are
used in conjunction with power armour by Space Marine officers and some close
assault units. Most Space Marine Terminator squads use power fists as their
standard close combat weapon.
Close Combat Weapom.
|
|
|
Storm Bolter
The Storm Bolter is the last generation of the Bolter-family, it arises out of
the attempt to couple two Bolters to get a higher fire rate. It is the standard
range weapon of loyal Space Marine Terminators.
Usually used in combination with a Power Fist.
|
|
|
Heavy Flamer
The Heavy Flamer is the larger version of the ordinary Flamer. It has a wider
range than the normal Flamer. Due to it's massive bulk this
weapon can only be carried by marines equipped with Terminator armor.
Usually used in combination with a Power Fist.
|
|
|
Assault Cannon
The Assault Cannon is the advanced Version of the Auto Cannon which was used
during the Great Crusade. It has an even higher rate of fire but lacks
something of the reliability the Auto Cannon granted. Due to it's
high rate of fire an powerfull shots the Assault Cannon is the most
deadly anti-infantry weapon on the 40K battle field.
Due to it's massive bulk this weapon can only be carried by marines
equipped with Terminator armor.
Usually used in combination with a Power Fist.
|
|
|
Missile Launcher
The Missile Launcher fires krak-missiles that have a great range and a good
armour penetration. They can even destroy heavy armoured vehicles, and are are
used by almost every race in the universe in some form or other.
Heavy weapon, must be deployed before use.
|
|
|
Heavy Bolter
The Heavy Bolter is the heavy weapon version of the bolter. It uses bigger
calibre and increased rate of fire than the normal bolter. Nothing can
withstand this weapon for long.
Heavy weapon, must be deployed before use.
|
|
|
Las Cannon
The Lascannon fires a bolt of intense light that cuts even through the heaviest
armour or fortification. Mostly it is used to destroy support weapons or tanks
but it is also devastating against troopers. Unlike the Lasgun the Lascannon
takes a long time to reload which it must do between each shot.
Heavy weapon, must be deployed before use.
Secondary fire toggles a zoomed view.
