Iron Warriors

The Iron Warriors are a Chaos Space Marine Legion. Ten thousand years ago at the dawn of the Imperium's history, fully half of the old Space Marine Legions rebelled under the influence of the Chaos Gods and began the collosal civil war known as the Horus Heresy. The Heresy nearly tore humanity apart, but the Emperor and the Imperium barely triumphed. The remaining Chaos Space Marines fled to the Eye of Terror where realspace and the Chaotic region of the Warp overlap. From here the near immortal Chaos Marines have launched many invasions of the Imperium ever since.

Classes

WARSMITH

Iron Warriors are led by their Warsmiths, unchallenged masters of siege warfare. These are twisted individuals whose hatred of mankind's weakness in mind and body and their obsession in technology reflects that of the Chaos Space Marines they lead.

Abilities

Leaders can to select a class to be awarded veteran status in the next round using the command key (default V).

Tips

Only one member of each team can be a Leader! Leaders are very tough and powerful warriors, but have very few (usually only one) spawn. Warsmiths are the only Iron Warriors that have access to Servo-arms and the deadly Bolter-Flamer combiweapons.

Wargear List

Bolter-Flamer Servo Arm Bolter Flamer Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife

CHAOS SPACE MARINES

The Iron Warriors were once true Space Marines: Devoted the Emperor and his Imperium of mankind. Now they are motivated by paranoia and selfishness, trusting only their wargear. They are the most heavily armed Chaos Space Marine legion and are siege specialists.

Abilities

As their special ability chaos marines can summon follow bots to give them supporting fire.

Tips

Chaos Champions have access to close combat weaponry that normal Marines cannot employ. Use it well! Warning: bikes cost a lot of points! If you have a bike you will have fewer spawns.

Wargear List

Bolt Pistol and Chainsword [Sergeant] Bolter Flamer Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife

CHAOS TERMINATORS

In the same way as loyalist Chapters, the most experienced of the Iron Warriors wear Terminator armour into battle. Their huge and powerful armoured suits easily negate the recoil from the massive weapons they employ.

Tips

Chaos Terminators are very tough and powerful warriors, but have very few (usually only one or two) spawns. Chaos Terminator power fists are slow but very powerful.

Warning:

Terminator armour means that Marines wearing it cannot jump, duck, or climb, and their movement is slowed.

Wargear List

Storm Bolter and Power Fist Reaper Autocannon and Power Fist

RAPTORS

Raptors cults are formed from the remains of the few Space Marine squads armed with jump packs at the time of the Horus Heresy. During the long centuries since then, the forces of Chaos have warped their suits and now man and machine are one hideous air-borne being.

Abilities

Raptors are equipped with jump packs. To use your jump pack to fly, press the Special Move key [Q]

Tips

Raptors have access to close combat weapons, and are best used in close combat. Raptors' flight ability means they are good for capturing objectives, but have relatively few spawns.

Wargear List

Bolt Pistol and Chainsword Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife

CHAOS DREADNOUGHTS

Chaos Space Marine Legions employ Dreadnoughts just as loyalist Chapters do. However in Chaos Dreadnoughts it is hard to tell whether the original occupant is still alive or not, as the machine is often merely posessed by the beserk spirit of its former occupant or even a daemon from the Warp.  Only the leader of the driver class can use a dreadnaught

Tips

Chaos Dreadnoughts are incredibly powerful war machines, but generally will only have one spawn. Chaos Dreadnoughts are equipped with a ranged weapon and a close combat weapon that works in the same manner as normal classes' close combat weapons.

Warning:

Chaos Dreadnoughts are relatively slow compared to other classes in Rival Species, and often have limited mobility within maps.

Wargear List

Plasma Cannon and Power Hammer

Combat Bike

In the 41st Millenium, technology is viewed with superstition and technological development with suspicion, and therefore ancient machines such as bikes remain in use. Space Marine bikes are large and powerful machines used in battlefields across the Galaxy.

Tips

Bike must be driven using the directional keys. Iron Warrior bikes are armed with twin Bolters that may be aimed up and down by the mouse.

Warning: it is very hard to fight from a bike! They are best used to strafe the enemy, or to reach them for close combat before dismounting.

Warning: Players may only re-mount their own bike, and no one else's.

Wargear List

Twinlinked Bolters Bolter Flamer Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife

HAVOCS

Chaos Space Marine Havoc squads can be found toting some of the most ancient and powerful weapons from their Legion's armoury.

Abilities

Havocs may be equipped with heavy weapons. These must be deployed to be used.

Tips

Warning: When heavy weapons are deployed, Devastators' movement is slowed and they cannot jump, duck or climb.

Warning: generally heavy weapons are incredibly inaccurate if used on the move!

Wargear List

Bolt Pistol and Combat Knife Lascannon Missile Launcher Heavy Bolter Boltgun

Weapons

Bolter / Boltgun

The Bolter is most commonly used by Space Marines as their standard armament since the Great Crusade. It fires an explosive tipped projectile called a bolt and is one of the deadliest weapons in mankind's arsenal.

Secondary fire switches between Full Auto and Burst Fire modes.

Combat Knife

The Combat Knife is the standard wargear for all Space Marines, made of Ceramics with a monomolecular edge.

Close Combat Weapon.  Usually used in combination with a pistol.

Bolt Pistol

The Bolt Pistol is the little brother of the Bolter. It has a decreased range, accuracy and rate of fire but the same penetration power.

Flamer

The Flamer is a short ranged weapon which throws a stream of devastating fire at the opponent. If the victim is hit there is a chance that it catches fire and gets damage furthermore. Flamers are very effective at flushing out enemy troops.

Chain Sword

The Chainsword is the common assault weapon of the Space Marine chapters, it looks like a sword with a chain instead of the cutting edge. The has blades that are of a monomolecular size. These allow to cut through armour and flesh easily.

Close Combat Weapom.  Usually used in combination with a pistol.

Servo Arm

Servo Arms are most commonly used by members of the Imperial Adeptus Mechanicus, but also can be found in the upper echelons of the Iron Warrior legion. They are designed for helping with in-battle vehicle repairs, but can be used as deadly close combat weapons, smashing easily through armour and bone.

Close Combat Weapom.  Usually used in combination with a pistol.

Deamon Sword

A Gift from the dark gods to their particularly devout and bloodthisty followers.  These blades are rare, bound within the  heart of these swords is the soul of a ravening warp deamon.  With such a strong bond to the warp this weapons shears through space and time, each strike doing a tremendous amount of damage, it's bound deamon feasting on  it's victim's soul.

Close Combat Weapom.  Usually used in combination with a pistol.

Power Fist

The Power Fist or Power Glove is a heavy armoured gauntlet surrounded by an energy field which disrupts the surface of solid matter, allowing the fist to punch through solid walls and armour. It is an awesome weapon and amongst the most potent a warrior can carry. Power fists are used in conjunction with power armour by Chaos Space Marine officers and some close assault units. Most Chaos Space Marine Terminator squads use power

Used in conjunction with a Storm Bolter, as the secondary fire function.

Storm Bolter

The Storm Bolter is the last generation of the Bolter-family, it arises out of the attempt to couple two Bolters to get a higher fire rate. It is the standard range weapon of loyal Space Marine Terminators.

Usually used in combination with a Power Fist.

Reaper Cannon

The Reaper Cannon is the is a twin-linked version of the Auto Cannon which was used during the Great Crusade. It has an even higher rate of fire but lacks something of the reliability the Auto Cannon granted.   It is slightly slower firing that it's imperial cousin the Assault Cannon but makes of for this with it's heavier punch.

Due to it's  massive bulk this weapon can only be carried by marines equipped with Terminator armor.

Usually used in combination with a Power Fist.

Plasma Gun

Plasma guns fire balls of superheated gas known as plasma.  The explosion of a plasma impact is one of the most potent weapons of the  40K battlefield.  Plasma weapons have a repuation for unreliablility, so only the most experinced warriors are equipped with plasma weapons.

Due to it's rareity and requiring especialy skilled users plasma guns are usualy only given to Terminator elites.

Usually used in combination with a Power Fist.

Missile Launcher

The Missile Launcher fires krak-missiles that have a great range and a good armour penetration. They can even destroy heavy armoured vehicles, and are are used by almost every race in the universe in some form or other.

Heavy weapon, must be deployed before use.

Heavy Bolter

The Heavy Bolter is the heavy weapon version of the bolter. It uses bigger calibre and increased rate of fire than the normal bolter. Nothing can withstand this weapon for long.

Heavy weapon, must be deployed before use.

Las Cannon

The Lascannon fires a bolt of intense light that cuts even through the heaviest armour or fortification. Mostly it is used to destroy support weapons or tanks but it is also devastating against troopers. Unlike the Lasgun the Lascannon takes a long time to reload.

Heavy weapon, must be deployed before use.
